SHELL TRAVEL CLUB

In July we set off to Waterperry House and Gardens in Oxfordshire where the Art in Action festival was being held.  This festival showcases the talents of artists working in a variety of mediums - jewellery, glass, paint, sculptures etc.  Waterperry House has some of  the most beautiful and unusual frescoes - very spiritual.  St Mary the Virgin Church, an old Saxon Church in Waterperry, was also worth a visit.  We were lucky with the weather with just one big shower in the afternoon.

Sadly, after 40 years this Festival is closing due to a lack of volunteers.  So a big thank you to Alan and Joy Watson for organising this visit before its sad demise.
