The STC 2017 AGM took place on Wednesday 8th March.  It was our most well-attended AGM to date, with 79 members being able to make the day, and many more sending their apologies.  We had a wonderful buffet carvery lunch, and were entertained afterwards by an after-luncheon speaker.

We spent a glorious five days at the Carbis Bay Hotel in St Ives in May.  Our trip included excursions to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Cyder Farm and a gin distillery!

On the 18th June, we set off for an extended Champagne and Wine tour, taking in the sights of Champagne and the Loire Valley!  The trip was a sell-out tour, and a great success.

Our cruise left Southampton in July for eight nights.

The fjords are the soul of Norway – and certainly a magnificent attraction.  The Fjord Norway region consists of the four counties Rogaland, Hordaland, Sogn & Fjordane and Møre & Romsdal, and is situated in the Western part of Norway.  The fjords were formed by the giant glacier tongues that through several ice ages have shaped the landscape.

On 27th October a small group of us set off for a wonderful family-friendly day trip to Longleat.  The safari was amazing, seeing so many different animals and the monkey enclosure was a real treat, with monkeys treating vehicles as their own climbing frames!  It finished with a fantastic firework display.  It was a long day, especially the children, but well worth it.​
